1: Once you have downloaded the file copy it to your SD card. For ease of work copy it in root of SD card.

How to root Galaxy S in 5 steps?

Hello there guys! So I have this friend who asked me a favor. He asked me if I know how to root Galaxy S. I was a little hesitant because you know I don’t have any Galaxy S to actually try the process to. So, I told him “yes, I do know how but I’m afraid that I will make a mistake and we couldn’t get the phone back to its original state”. I thought he already forgot it, but to my surprise he asked me about it again this afternoon.

So I decided to work on it. I had some researches on how to do it and I will share it to you in case you want to know how to root Galaxy S successfully.Before doing the process make sure that you have a better understanding on what OS and android version your Samsung Galaxy S have. It is necessary so that you know what kind of rooting package you will download to begin the process with. Rooting your phone will devoid the warranty so assure yourself that it is something that you really want to do.

Since my friend has Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 on Android 2.3.5 XXJVS Firmware, we download the Android 2.3.5 XXJVS Rooting Package for Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 and here’s the necessary steps you need to follow:


Step 1: Unzip the Android 2.3.5 XXJVS Rooting Package for Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000. You will get 2 files for this the tar Rooting and the Odin flash Tool. Open the Odin flash tool in your computer and turn Off the phone to enter the phone in the download mode by pressing down on Volume Down Key + OK button.
